Why Diagnostics Matter
Pets can’t tell us what’s wrong—but diagnostics can help. Whether it’s a sudden illness or a subtle change in behavior, testing gives us critical information to:
- Detect hidden illness early
- Monitor chronic conditions (like kidney disease, Cushing’s disease or diabetes)
- Evaluate unexplained symptoms
- Make surgery safer with pre-op screening
- Track your pet’s progress over time
We recommend routine bloodwork as part of your pet’s annual wellness plan, especially for seniors or pets on long-term medication.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are X-rays or ultrasounds painful for my pet?
No—these are non-invasive imaging tools. Your pet may be gently positioned or held still, but the procedures themselves are painless. We use handling and sedation when needed to reduce stress or discomfort
How quickly will I get test results?
- In-house tests (like fecals, urinalysis, or basic blood panels) often have same-day results.
- Send-out lab work (like early detection panels or thyroid testing) is usually back in 24–48 hours.
We’ll always contact you with results and next steps.
How do I know which tests my pet needs?
We tailor diagnostics based on your pet’s symptoms, age, breed, and medical history. We’ll explain every recommendation and cost before moving forward—no surprises.
Can I stay with my pet during testing?
For most procedures, yes. For imaging or blood draws, we may briefly take your pet to our treatment area, but you’ll be kept informed and reunited quickly.
What Customers Say
EXCELLENT Based on 75 reviews Posted on Ricky ButlerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Very friendly people! Did a great job! Glad I brought Drago to be treated! Now I will have to bring Max! Thank y'all!Posted on Holly CrossTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Dr. Lisa and staff are very friendly. My little guy is just under 15 lbs and about 12 inches tall. The doc and tech got down on the floor on his level for the entire exam. My boy was quite happy to be held and hugged and offered a treat throughout the exam. He did briefly make himself at home when he got out of the exam room and trotted through the back of the clinic without a care. He was exploring....not escaping.Posted on April WhiteTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great staff! Very caring and patient. Everyone there will make sure you are comfortable with the care they give your pet. I wish I could give a 10 star rating.Posted on Ray HeinrichTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Excellent first visit. The Vet was knowledgeable, empathetic, answered all my questions, and explained everything in detail. When I got to the office I was really frazzled because the community cat I was trying to bring in was late for her morning meal and I barely had time to arrive late for my appointment. The person running the front desk was understanding, friendly, and put me at ease. When we were talking at the end of the appointment I learned that she was the vet's mom. They aren't like family here, they ARE family. 😁 My previous vet for 20 years retired and recommended them highly and she was right. So I'm going to make them my new critter doctors and since I live with eight cats and a dog they'll probably see a fair bit of me.Posted on Paula FrenchTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I took my senior dog, Sebastian, to Garth Animal Hospital on Friday, January 9, 2026. From the moment we walked in, I knew I had made the right choice for care. Everyone was so kind and loving toward my old boy. The care he received was gentle, caring and professional. Thank you, Dr. Lisa and staff.Posted on Melissa McBrideTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. They were fast acting on getting me in with a litter of 6 puppies. Everything went smoothly and they didn't rush the appointment.Posted on NicoleTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I recently did a drop off appointment for my dog and love that they don’t charge extra as I cannot take off a day from work, unfortunately. They gave my Little One excellent attention and care. They are very communicative with pricing and I really love how they reach out by text to give me updates, that is the best way instead of waiting for an email. I highly recommend this vet! I was going to another for 15 years and they recently switched how they work, so I searched for one close to me and I’m not disappointed at what I found! They will now be our forever vet!Posted on Erica WaltonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The whole staff was absolutely wonderful and prices that dont break the bank. Was worried when we adopted a dog that needed so much care but after taking her here all my worries disappeared
