What should I bring to my first appointment?
Please bring your pet’s previous medical records (if available), a list of current medications or supplements, and any questions or concerns you have. For exotic pets, bring photos of their enclosure and diet if possible.
Do I need an appointment, or do you take walk-ins?
We see patients by appointment to ensure we give each pet the time and care they deserve. We do offer same-day urgent care appointments, but walk-ins are limited and may require a wait.
What if my pet is scared of the vet?
We understand! Guided by Fear Free© principles, we use calming techniques, treats, gentle handling, and even pre-visit medications if needed to reduce stress. Let us know in advance, and we’ll tailor the visit to your pet’s comfort level.
Do you treat exotic pets?
Yes! We see a variety of exotic and pocket pets including rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, reptiles, and small rodents. We’re happy to answer questions about their care and help with wellness, illness, or husbandry support.
How often should my pet have a checkup?
Puppies and kittens: Every 3–4 weeks until fully vaccinated
Adult pets: Once a year
Senior pets (7+ years): At least every 6 months
Routine exams help us catch health problems early—even if your pet seems fine at home.
Can I stay with my pet during their exam or treatment?
In most cases, yes! We encourage pet parents to stay with their pet when possible—especially during wellness visits, vaccines, or minor procedures. For safety, some procedures (like X-rays or surgery) require your pet to be in our treatment area.
